I am known as the “Mental Weightologist”. I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist who suffered secretly from depression. I spent many night sitting on my coach crying myself to sleep. I felt hopeless that I would ever lose the 80 pounds that I had gained. I was embarrassed and ashamed that I allowed myself to gain so much weight. All the while, I went to work everyday helping others while I was suffering in silence.
I wrote about my journey so that I could help other women who are also suffering in silence. I wanted to help women to understand the secret to losing weight and keeping it off. I wanted women to understand that depression does not discriminate; however, you can overcome depression and weight issues.
